Right next door to the hotel is the wonderful Calouste Gulbenkian museum, housing a magnificent collection of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Islamic, Asian, and European art. Sharing the beautiful gardens of the Gulbenkian Museum is the Modern Art Center, containing modern and contemporary Portuguese and foreign art displayed on two floors.

There are more than 10,000 items, including works by Paula Rego, Almada Negreiros, Souza Cardoso, and Vieira da Silva. Around the corner from the hotel, El Corte Ingles, with its seven floors of shopping, food courts and restaurants, is also a great attraction for guests. Also nearby the hotel is the gorgeous Parque Eduardo VII its spectacular views over the city centre and the River Tagus.

The Olissippo Marquês de Sá Hotel is an easy five-minute walk from Sao Sebastiao metro station. All the major attractions of central Lisbon are no more than a 10-minute journey away. Entrecampos train station is ten minutes walk from the hotel. From here you can take a day trip to the mountain town of Sintra.
